INSTITUTIONS

There are several different categories of healthcare institutions that come under RDHS. They serve different types of curative and preventive healthcare services. While Hospitals come under curative sector, MOH offices along with PHII and PHMM divisions serve as the backbone of preventive healthcare services. 

In addition to these two categories of healthcare institutions, there are some other special campaign and other regional offices that come under the supervision of Kalmunai RDHS. There is a Regional Medical Supplies Division (RMSD) and a Regional Biomedical Engineering (BME) Unit also under RDHS Kalmunai.

Ayurvedic hospitals and treatment centres are also found in Kalmunai RDHS area. They are considered as curative healthcare institutions too.
